14-year-old Diego Mojano joins Levante first-team training and could become La Liga's youngest player
The 14-year-old Valencia academy defender has joined Levante’s first-team sessions and could surpass Luka Romero’s youngest-player record.

Levante coach Luis Castro has invited 14-year-old defender Diego Mojano to train with the club's first team, a move that puts the teenager on track to challenge one of La Liga's youngest-player records.
Fast rise from Valencia academy to first-team training
Mojano, born 3 March 2012, is a product of Valencia's academy and has impressed coaches with his ball-playing ability and strength in the air. He primarily operates as a central defender but can also cover at right back.
At youth level he already lifted a Spanish regional championship with Valencia’s under-14 side and has recently been called up to Spain’s under-15 national team.
If Mojano makes his La Liga debut in the near future he would eclipse the current youngest-player mark set by Luka Romero, who first played for Mallorca at 15 years and 219 days.
Castro has shown a willingness to blood teenagers this season: earlier he handed a debut to Mark Santos at 15 years and 288 days, which stands as Levante’s youngest-ever first-team appearance and the third-youngest debut in La Liga history.
The coach’s decision to include Mojano in first-team sessions signals clear confidence in the teenager’s readiness to train at senior level and keeps open the possibility of a record-breaking debut.
