Zelensky: Russia used about 1,600 guided bombs, 48 missiles and nearly 2,300 drones this week

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that over the past week Russia struck Ukraine with about 1,600 guided bombs, 48 missiles of various kinds including ballistic missiles, and nearly 2,300 attack drones.

“Unfortunately, almost every day there are fatalities and injuries as a result of these brutal attacks,” Zelensky wrote on Facebook, summarising the scale of the recent bombardment.

The president also reported civilian casualties from Russian shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk region, saying four people were killed and 22 were wounded, among them an 11-year-old girl.

Ukrainian forces reported counterstrikes

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that on 24 October and the night of 25 October Ukrainian defensive forces struck several Russian military targets. The report lists attacks on radar stations located in the Russian region of Belgorod, and on a command post of an occupying unit in the Zaporizhzhia region.

According to the General Staff, a command and observation post in the Kherson region was also hit. The statement added that Ukrainian strikes affected concentrations of Russian troops in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
