17-year-old charged with rape of 13-year-old girl
Police in Strumica filed a notice against a 17-year-old accused of sexual acts on a 13-year-old on June 30, 2026.
A 17-year-old boy from Strumica has been charged with committing sexual acts against a 13-year-old girl and will face prosecution for rape of a child, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
The Ministry's statement said the case was handled by the police in Strumica.
"The Regional Police Department Strumica submitted a notice against a 17-year-old from Radovish on grounds of suspicion for the criminal offence 'rape of a child who has not reached 15 years of age'. On 30.06.2026 in the Strumica area, the reported person committed sexual acts against a 13-year-old girl," the police bulletin reads.
The notice filed by the police names the victim as a 13-year-old girl and places the incident on June 30, 2026, in the Strumica area.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs said the police submitted the report to the competent authorities; no further details about the investigation or prosecutorial steps have been released.
Authorities have not published additional information on the circumstances of the case or on any court proceedings to date.
