Nuremberg Airport temporarily closed after possible drone sightings
Flights were suspended after three pilots reported seeing a possible drone; a police helicopter could not confirm the object.

Nuremberg Airport was temporarily closed after authorities declared an aviation emergency following multiple sightings of an unidentified object, officials said.
On the airport's website the operator posted a short notice: "Due to an aviation emergency, flights are currently suspended. Further information will follow."
What happened
Local police reported that three pilots "independently reported sightings of an object, possibly a drone" during landing and take-off operations. The incidents took place this morning, according to the statement from police.
Officers deployed a police helicopter to investigate the reports but were unable to confirm the presence of any object in the area around the airfield.
One of the reports occurred shortly before the safe landing of a flight arriving from the Greek island of Corfu. Airport operations remained suspended while authorities continued their assessment and prepared to provide updates.
