Kraš returns 1987 'Animal Kingdom' album to owner Šime

On 7 November 2026 the long-missing sticker album Animal Kingdom from 1987 was returned to its owner after being discovered in the archive of Croatian confectioner Kraš.

Kraš announced the outcome on its social channels and thanked everyone who helped with the online search. "We searched for it, you helped, and now we've found it! The album 'Animal Kingdom', which waited 40 years for its owner, has been returned to the right hands," the company wrote.

How a single letter restarted a childhood memory

The album had lain forgotten in Kraš's archive until employees found a fully completed copy from 1987. With no contact information, the only clue the company had was that the owner's name began with the letter Š, which triggered a public appeal that drew wide attention on social media.

The search succeeded: the owner, Šime, who as a child had mailed his completed album to Kraš, was located. He visited the company's factory with his wife, met staff and was shown around the facilities. Kraš also published a short video of the meeting, bringing the unusual story to a close.

The appeal revived nostalgic memories for many online, recalling when collecting and trading stickers from Animal Kingdom was a favorite childhood pastime. Kraš had announced from the start that it had prepared a special sweet surprise for the owner if he was found; after public help, the album is again in the hands of the person who filled it as a child.
