Aleksandar Josifovski says he beat alcoholism and presents new music video
Singer Aleksandar Josifovski appears in a staged on-screen clash in his new video while speaking about overcoming long-term alcohol dependence.

Aleksandar Josifovski returned to public attention with a dramatic new music video that stages a heated argument between him and his on-screen partner — a role played by his real-life wife. The footage sparked conversation partly because it follows a long and difficult personal struggle that the singer has publicly discussed.
From public struggle to private recovery
In the clip for his latest single, "Gore od ljubomore", Josifovski performs scenes that depict a violent quarrel with his partner; the sequence is a scripted acting challenge rather than a real-life incident. His wife, Ana, takes the leading female role in the production, and the two are described as enjoying a calm period at home after the birth of their daughter.
Josifovski has said his life changed after confronting a serious alcohol dependency that began in his teenage years, when he formed his first band. According to his own accounts from the time he competed on the televised talent show Zvezdite na Grand, the problem intensified in the year before he sought professional help and at times affected his health and relationships.
“After everything I've been through, my greatest victory is my family and my music. My wife is my biggest support and I'm glad we made this project together,” Josifovski said, summarising what he called the most important results of his recovery.
He has admitted that during his stint on Zvezdite na Grand he sometimes appeared on stage while intoxicated, because alcohol gave him a false sense of readiness. With the intervention of his mentor Gjorgje David, his family and a medical team, he decided to stop drinking completely and to focus on rebuilding his life and career.
Now, after treatment and a shift to healthier habits, Josifovski says he is devoted to fatherhood and to new musical projects, presenting the music video as both an artistic statement and a personal milestone.
