Alexander Isak’s double inside three minutes seals Liverpool win at Ipswich
Isak scored in the 6th and again in the 9th minute to hand Liverpool a 2-0 victory; Bradley Barcola debuted in the 64th minute.

Sept. 4, 2026 — Alexander Isak scored twice inside the opening ten minutes as Liverpool defeated Ipswich 2-0, a lead that proved decisive early in the match.
Quick double puts the game beyond Ipswich
Isak opened the scoring in the 6th minute and added a second goal three minutes later, leaving Ipswich trailing 0-2 by the 9th minute. From that point Liverpool managed the game calmly and saw the result out to claim three points.
The victory was Liverpool's first of the season after two opening draws, and it also gave new manager Andoni Iraola his first win in charge of the club based at Anfield.
Bradley Barcola, the high-profile signing from PSG, made his debut for the Reds when he came on in the 64th minute.
Despite Ipswich's efforts after falling behind so early, Liverpool controlled the remainder of the match and left Portman Road with a routine 2-0 win.
