Alen Rustemovski wins gold and technical award at Mustafa Talijan tournament in Sarajevo
Rustemovski won the 60 kg division in Sarajevo and was named the tournament’s Best Technician.
Alen Rustemovski claimed the gold medal at the international Mustafa Talijan boxing tournament in Sarajevo, adding the tournament’s Best Technician award to his achievements on 01.08.2026.
Decisive wins in the semifinals and final
Competing in the 60-kilogram weight class, Rustemovski defeated Algeria’s Mutez Bechagra 5:0 in the semifinal with a clear display of control and technique. In the final he produced another convincing performance, beating Japan’s Shudai Harada 5:0.
Harada entered the bout as one of the tournament’s highest-profile opponents: he is ranked fifth on the world list and finished fifth at the Olympic Games, underscoring the quality of Rustemovski’s victory.
The Mustafa Talijan tournament in Sarajevo brought together a strong international field — more than 120 boxers from 21 countries took part, providing tough competition across all weight categories.
Rustemovski’s double success — the tournament title and the technical award — was highlighted by organizers and will boost his profile on the international amateur circuit ahead of upcoming events.
