Alkaloid beat Multi Esens 38-28 to open Superliga season
Alkaloid controlled the game at Avtokomanda and won 38-28; Dimitar Mitev scored nine goals.
05.09.2026 — Alkaloid opened the new Macedonian Superliga season with a commanding home win, beating Multi Esens 38-28 at Avtokomanda. The team coached by Kire Lazarov controlled the match from the start and never allowed the visitors to recover.
Alkaloid led 16-11 at the interval after a first half in which Multi Esens tried to keep pace but could not match the hosts' experience and pace. The home side defended well and found scoring solutions across the court.
In the second half Alkaloid maintained a steady performance and gradually increased the margin; at one point the lead reached eight to nine goals before the final buzzer confirmed the 38-28 victory.
Top scorers: Dimitar Mitev finished as Alkaloid's most prolific player with nine goals. Stojkovic added seven, while Marko Mitev and Petkovski scored five each. For Multi Esens, Damchevski was the best scorer with six goals.
Prilep SP also victorious
In the evening's other Superliga fixture, Prilep SP defeated Kumanovo 38-31. The result gives both Alkaloid and Prilep a successful start as the championship gets under way.
The season opener offered a clear statement from Alkaloid about their ambitions, while other teams will look to respond as the league schedule progresses.
