Arabel Rustemovski has guaranteed at least a bronze medal at the European Under‑17 Boxing Championships after reaching the semi‑finals in Budva, Montenegro on October 9, 2026.
Quarter‑final win sets up semi against England
In the 60‑kilogram quarter‑final, Rustemovski defeated Italian Cezare Spacijani by a 4:1 decision to move into the last four of the category. The victory was Rustemovski’s second at the tournament.
He opened his campaign with a convincing 5:0 victory over Belarusian Jaraslau Sljapec in the first round. By advancing to the semi‑final, Rustemovski has secured a medal for North Macedonia.
Rustemovski is scheduled to face England’s Charlie Kit in the semi‑final later the same day. A win would put him into the final and give him a chance to fight for the gold medal.
The European U17 Championships are being held in Budva, Montenegro, and Rustemovski’s progress is one of the stronger results for the North Macedonian boxing team at the event.
