Arbeloa under pressure as Fulham chase first Premier League win
Fulham are last in the Premier League and Arbeloa urges focus on players and supporters ahead of Hull game.

Fulham head coach Alvaro Arbeloa says attention should be on the club and its players as his side chases a first Premier League win this season.
The Cottagers sit bottom of the table with just two points after six matches — four defeats and two draws — and the 43-year-old Spanish coach is under growing pressure.
Matchday pressure ahead of Hull
Fulham host Hull on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 16:00 local time in a fixture that could be crucial for Arbeloa's position. The club signed Arbeloa to a three-year contract over the summer, replacing Marco Silva, after a short spell as interim coach at Real Madrid.
Recalling recent near-misses, Arbeloa pointed to last weekend's loss to Ipswich, when Ryan Sessegnon put Fulham ahead early in the second half but the team conceded two late goals to lose the match. Against Manchester United, before the international break, Fulham looked set to take three points only to concede late for a 1:1 finish.
On the speculation about his future he said: "It's not about my future. As I have already said, this is about the club and my players. They want to be rewarded for their effort and to play a match in which they will earn a victory for the fans. They deserve that because of the support they give us. That is important for all of us."
Arbeloa also stressed the positives he sees in training and recent performances: "They did that for the majority of the game against Ipswich. We saw the same against Manchester United, as well as against Liverpool, when we played 0:0 at Anfield. We must try to maintain that level of play for all 90 minutes. That is important. I saw how committed the players are from the way they train. They are fully focused on tomorrow's match."
