Ardijan Nuhiu is back as head coach of Drita after a break of several years, the club announced at a press conference on 10 August 2026. The former international and experienced manager returns to the Gjilan-based side with a mandate to restore momentum following a recent change on the bench.

Track record and expectations

Nuhiu is presented as a coach who combined a notable playing career with later success as a manager: he has worked successfully at Shkupi and Shkëndija, and in his managerial career he has also led Tirana and Gjilan-based teams, including a previous spell at Drita. The club highlighted his familiarity with the region and experience in the domestic leagues as key reasons for his appointment.

Supporters and club officials were reminded of one of Nuhiu’s high points with Drita — he led the team to the championship in the 2019/20 season. That title remains a benchmark in the club’s recent history and a reference point for the expectations placed on the new coach.
