Arsim host Skopje in Gostivar as the "Pirates" hunt a first win
In the 5th round on Saturday (29 August 2026) Arsim host Skopje in Gostivar; Arsim have won their last two matches while Skopje remain without a victory.
Arsim will host Skopje in Gostivar on Saturday, 29 August 2026, as the two sides meet in the fifth round of the Macedonian First League. Kick-off is scheduled for 16:30 local time, and the match pits two teams that are expected to fight for survival this season.
Arsim riding momentum, Skopje still searching for a breakthrough
Arsim arrive in the fixture on a positive run: two wins in their last two matches, including an away victory at Shkëndija Arachinovo, have brought them to six points — the same total as title-holders Vardar. The recent form has raised expectations in Gostivar that the team can keep climbing the table.
Skopje, based in Avtokomanda, have struggled in the opening rounds. After four matches they have recorded two draws and no wins, leaving them on two points and second-to-last in the standings, above only Bashkimi.
"The Pirates want the first victory, and it would come at a very good time, but it should be noted that in the last two matches Arsim played well and recorded two wins. Arsim has its ambitions; it is unlikely to miss such an opportunity to reach 'three out of three' and climb to third place on the table with nine points, right behind Shkëndija and Struga."
Matchday calculations matter, but the result on the pitch can be different. The referee appointed for the game is Vlatko Ilioski.
The single First League fixture scheduled for Saturday will be mirrored by another solitary top‑flight match tomorrow as the calendar for the round is split across two days.
