Austrian Airlines cuts Ohrid–Vienna seasonal service, ends flights on September 27
The carrier will close the seasonal Ohrid–Vienna route early and cut frequencies to once weekly from September 17.
Austrian Airlines will end its seasonal Ohrid–Vienna service several weeks earlier than planned and will reduce frequencies in the second half of September, airline schedules show.
The carrier now intends to finish the route on 27 September instead of the previously scheduled 18 October. Between 17 September and the final service the flights will operate only once weekly, rather than twice as they had been.
Changes to the intended timetable
The seasonal Ohrid–Vienna route began operations on 21 June, a start date that arrived more than a month later than originally announced. The new direct connection had been due to fly twice weekly — on Thursdays and Sundays — through 18 October.
The move trims the autumn portion of the schedule: from mid-September passengers will have fewer travel options on the route as frequencies are cut and the season closed early.
There was no additional explanation included about the reasons for the reduced frequency and earlier termination of the seasonal service.
