Austria unveils strengthened roster for match against North Macedonia in Vienna
Coach Aramis Naglic named 13 players, led by top qualifier scorer Bogic Vujosevic (19.8 ppg).

Austria has announced a strengthened squad for the meeting with North Macedonia on August 30 in Vienna, as coach Aramis Naglic revealed a 13-player list that mixes experienced names with recent in-form scorers.
The side will be led by Bogic Vujosevic, who finished as Austria's top scorer in the qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup with an average of 19.8 points per game. Naglic's selection makes clear the intention to bring firepower to the contest in the Austrian capital.
One notable return is Rashan Mbemba, who will rejoin the national team after almost four years away. The coach also included a blend of guards and forwards intended to provide depth at several positions.
Austria will be without Jakob Pöltl, who did not receive permission from the Toronto Raptors to take part. Injuries rule out Luka Brajkovic and Silven Landesberg, while Sebastian Keferle is absent for personal reasons.
The game is set for August 30 at 16:05 local time at Sport Arena Vienna and is part of the second phase of the pre-qualifiers for EuroBasket 2029.
