Basket Kam and Probasket cleared to play in women's First League for 2026/27
After the Arbitration Commission upheld appeals, the Licensing Commission found eight clubs meet licensing conditions for the women's First League 2026/27.

On 25 August 2026 the Basketball Federation of North Macedonia (BFNM) announced that, after appeals were upheld by the Federation's Arbitration Commission, the Licensing Commission concluded the required conditions for participation in the First League – women for the 2026/27 season have been met.
League makeup for 2026/27
The Licensing Commission said it acted in accordance with the BFNM Statute, the Competition Rulebook, the Registration Rulebook, the Licensing Rulebook, the provisions governing senior competitions and the decisions of the BFNM Executive Board. In particular, the commission assessed compliance with financial discipline under article 7.1 and article 7.1.4 of the competition provisions.
The commission also took into account article 7.1.3 and article 7.1.5, which regulate the number of participants, movement between competition levels and the status of the First League – women as the top tier of women's competition.
Bearing in mind the final standings from the 2025/26 season, the sporting rights earned by clubs, the documentation submitted and the fulfilment of licensing requirements, the Licensing Commission proposed to the Executive Board that the First League – women for 2026/27 be composed of the following eight teams:
- ŽKK Kriva Palanka – Kriva Palanka
- ŽKK Badel 1862 – Skopje
- ŽKK Basket Kam – Makedonska Kamenica
- ŽKK Vardar – Skopje
- ŽKK Probasket – Kavadarci
- ŽKK MZT Skopje Aerodrom – Skopje
- ŽKK Patriot 2016 – Delchevo
- ŽKK Gevgelija – Gevgelija
The announcement notes that ŽKK Gevgelija, as winner of the Second League – women in 2025/26, earned the right to compete in the First League – women for 2026/27 in accordance with article 7.1.3 of the competition provisions.
Finally, the BFNM reminded that its competent bodies and commissions will continuously monitor fulfilment of all requirements for participation in the competition system and will act in line with the federation's acts and regulations should any club fail to meet the conditions.
