Jeton Beqiri holds Qarabag to 0-0 as Gabala earn point
Gabala earned a disciplined 0-0 at home on October 31, 2026, blocking favourite Qarabag and extending their unbeaten run.
Jeton Beqiri and his team, Gabala, secured a valuable point on October 31, 2026, after a 0:0 draw at home against Qarabag, one of Azerbaijan's strongest clubs.
The goalless stalemate came in the 10th round of the domestic championship. Gabala defended in an organised fashion and prevented Qarabag from imposing their usual rhythm.
Discipline and defence decided the day
Qarabag controlled possession for long phases of the match but were unable to turn their territorial advantage into a goal. Gabala's compact shape and focus on defence kept clear-cut chances to a minimum.
For Beqiri the result is notable: it extended Gabala's unbeaten run to two matches and represents another step in lifting the club away from the bottom of the standings.
