Manchester United are again wrestling with squad problems, this time compounded by fresh injury concerns among their forwards.

Forward Benjamin Sesko has been sidelined for five weeks and was absent from Slovenia’s Nations League meeting with North Macedonia. Reports from the club’s Carrington base indicate the issue involves a troublesome muscle injury.

Club fear prolonged absence

Medical staff at Carrington are still assessing the severity, but the muscle problem is described as persistent and not yet resolved. That uncertainty means Sesko will remain unavailable to manager and teammates for the immediate future.

The situation has prompted caution within United’s camp: while the club has not set a definitive return date, the worst-case projections suggest Sesko might not play again before the end of the calendar year.

Manchester United must now manage without the Slovenian striker while deciding on treatment and a recovery plan that avoids aggravating the injury.
