Petrol and diesel prices increase from 00:01 on 18 August
Maximum pump prices rise by 4.5 denars for petrol and 6.5 denars for diesel from 00:01 on 18 August.

The Regulatory Commission for Energy has approved higher maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel, effective at 00:01 on 18 August.
Under the new decision, petrol grades rise by 4.5 denars per litre and diesel by 6.5 denars per litre. The updated maximum prices will be:
- EuroSuper BS-95 – 91.50 denars/liter (increase 4.50 denars)
- EuroSuper BS-98 – 93.50 denars/liter (increase 4.50 denars)
- Eurodiesel BS (D-E V) – 98.00 denars/liter (increase 6.50 denars)
- Extra light fuel oil (EL-1) – 98.50 denars/liter (increase 6.00 denars)
- Fuel oil M-1 NS – 43.726 denars/kilogram (increase 0.188 denars)
Reasons for the rise
The Commission said the increase follows higher reference prices for oil products on the world market. Compared with the prior calculation, petrol prices rose by 8.983 percent, diesel by 10.979 percent, extra light fuel oil by 9.801 percent, and fuel oil by 0.871 percent. The movement of the denar against the dollar also affected the calculation: the denar was lower by 0.2247 percent in the recent period.
The RCE will continue to apply the reduced excise amounts: a lowered excise of 2 denars per litre for EuroSuper BS-95 and BS-98, and a reduced excise of 4 denars per litre for eurodiesel. The Commission emphasized that the figures it sets are maximum prices, so retailers may sell fuels at lower prices if they choose.
