Besiktas prepared to offer €10 million for Eljif Elmas
Turkish interest in Eljif Elmas intensified at the end of July 2026, but RB Leipzig's asking price remains significantly higher than Besiktas's reported offer.
Besiktas is reportedly preparing a bid of 10 million euros for North Macedonia international Eljif Elmas, according to reports published on 30.07.2026.
Initial rumours about Turkish interest surfaced on 29.07.2026, and follow-up coverage the next day included a concrete figure for what the İstanbul club might offer.
Market situation and price gap
German side RB Leipzig is said to be expecting to cash in on Elmas this summer and has set the asking price at over 15 million euros. That demand would leave a sizeable gap between what Leipzig wants and what Besiktas is prepared to pay.
Besiktas's proposed ceiling of 10 million euros falls short of the >15 million-euro figure reportedly sought by the Germans, meaning negotiations — if they begin — are likely to be protracted and could include intermediary offers or player-swap proposals.
Clubs and agents are now waiting to see whether Besiktas will submit a formal offer and how RB Leipzig will respond to any bid for Elmas.
