Tickets for Edin Džeko’s final Bosnia match sell out in 15 minutes

All tickets for Edin Džeko’s final appearance in the Bosnia and Herzegovina shirt were claimed within 15 minutes after they went on sale, organisers confirmed. The farewell fixture is scheduled for October 2, 2026, at the Bilino Polje stadium in Zenica, where Džeko will face Sweden.

Rapid sell-out and expected crowd

The Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina put the tickets on sale through its official platform; they disappeared within a quarter of an hour. Organisers expect roughly 11,000 spectators at Bilino Polje, who will have the chance to pay tribute to the captain in person after nearly two decades wearing the national colours.

The match against Sweden will mark the end of Džeko’s long international career. Fans and local media have described the game as a farewell event for the country’s most capped forward.

Džeko made the decision to retire from international football after amassing 151 appearances and scoring 73 goals for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

With demand far outstripping supply, supporters who missed out on tickets are expected to fill public viewing areas and follow the occasion via broadcast coverage and radio. The stadium atmosphere in Zenica is widely anticipated to be emotional as the national team and its fans say goodbye to a leading figure in their modern history.
