Bizarre Incident in Brazil: Sent Off Before Kickoff for Inappropriate Behavior

An unusual and highly bizarre situation marked the football match between the teams of San Jose and Sao Caetano, which took place within the Brazilian Copa Paulista tournament. The main referee of the match found himself in the center of attention after having to pull out a direct red card even before the official start of the duel, and the reason for such a rigorous decision was truly unconventional for professional sports.

Namely, the striker of the home team, Micael, decided to relieve himself in the immediate vicinity of the substitutes' bench. This reckless move did not go unnoticed by the main referee Gustavo Holanda Souza. The referee immediately reacted to this gross violation of sports etiquette and without hesitation sanctioned the footballer with an expulsion, sending him to the locker room before the match even started.

In the official match report, the referee detailed his decision to leave no room for speculation. He precisely stated that the player was removed for leaving the pitch with the sole purpose of urinating next to his team's bench, right before the start of the sporting event.

Fortunately for the San Jose team, football rules allow for a substitution if the card is issued before the starting whistle. Thanks to this rule, the coach had the opportunity to replace the undisciplined striker with another player from the bench. Thus, the team started the match with a complete squad of eleven footballers, avoiding playing with a man down due to the bizarre incident that quickly became a hit on social networks.
