Thanks to Čeferin and Montagliani, FFM could receive $10 million
UEFA and CONCACAF leaders propose roughly $2.1 billion in one‑time transfers to 211 national associations, for infrastructure and development.
UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin and CONCACAF leader Victor Montagliani have sent a joint letter to FIFA president Gianni Infantino proposing a one‑time payment of at least $10 million to each of FIFA’s 211 member associations — including the Football Federation of North Macedonia (FFM).
The proposal, dated September 18, 2026, would amount to roughly $2.1 billion in total and is intended primarily for infrastructure and football development at national level.
Independent review before the FIFA Council
Čeferin and Montagliani asked Infantino that, ahead of the FIFA Council meeting scheduled for October 15, a full and independent analysis be carried out to determine how much of FIFA’s reserves can responsibly be distributed without endangering the organisation’s financial stability.
In their letter they argue that such a move would make the previous plan to bring private capital into FIFA’s commercial rights unnecessary. The authors state that “FIFA already has the ability to make significantly more funds available to its members from its own sources.”
If the proposal gains the required support and is approved, it would represent a major one‑off financial injection for football worldwide and would mean that FFM — like other national federations — could receive an unusually large sum.
