Bojan Ilievski earns regional acclaim after Sava Centar performance
The 27‑year‑old Grand winner combined a high‑profile memorial concert in Belgrade with charitable visits at home.

Bojan Ilievski, the 27-year-old winner of Zvezdite na Grand, has become a prominent figure across the Western Balkans after a string of recent performances that paired artistic ambition with personal humility.
From a memorial stage in Belgrade to small, meaningful visits at home
Ilievski stood on the bill at the high‑profile memorial concert for Toma Zdravković at Sava Centar in Belgrade, a night that brought together celebrated regional singers. His emotional interpretation won strong audience reaction and marked one of the largest professional steps in his young career.
“I felt wonderful and it was a huge honour for me to be part of that concert, to sing a song and to feel such a strong emotion. Everyone in the hall sang in unison, the ovations did not stop,” Ilievski said after the performance.
Beyond big stages and viral clips from private celebrations, Ilievski has also kept a steady focus on smaller, intimate acts. He recently visited the Institute for Rehabilitation of Children and Youth in Skopje and offered a short concert that brightened the day of the institution’s residents.
“I felt wonderful. For me this was much more than an ordinary performance — it was an opportunity through music to create beautiful moments for the people who greeted me with so much love,” he said about the visit.
Ilievski’s rise has not been without hardship. He lost both parents while still developing as an artist and faced financial and personal struggles that at times threatened to pull him away from music. With the support of his grandmother and the guidance of his mentor Gjorge David, he pushed through those challenges and emerged not only as a show winner, but as someone who has found a broader place in the region’s music scene.
Now 27, Ilievski is consolidating the gains from his victory in the television contest and from appearances on major stages, while maintaining a reputation for modesty and commitment to his audience.
