Bojan Ilievski and Bubi Ademov set the internet on fire with folk hits

Bojan Ilievski and Bubi Ademov sparked genuine euphoria on social networks after they posted several videos in which they perform folk and pop-folk repertoire together.

Ilievski, the winner of the latest season of "Zvezdite na Grand", and Bubi Ademov — who attracted great attention after his appearance on the show and is the younger brother of the pop-ultra-wealthy singer Nadica Ademov — shared short clips on Instagram that quickly went viral across the region.

Virtual performances, real chemistry

In the published clips the two sing the timeless sequence of songs "Cveta", "Puste pare" and the traditional "Blagunjo dejche", with a lot of positive energy and a clearly friendly mood that fans applaud. The posts are followed by numerous praising comments about their vocal talent and spontaneity.

Ilievski explained with an emotional message how music connected them: "We met through the song, ever since the competition in 'Zvezdite na Grand' and to this day there is no meeting without a song! That's why I decided to publish this for all of you, so you can see and hear what our friendship with my Bubi Ademov looks like! Filled with a lot of positive energy, music and affinity!" – wrote the Grand winner on social networks.

Besides the merriment, the videos also raised questions about their musical roots. Bubi Ademov won over the jury's sympathies already at his first appearance on "Zvezdite na Grand", and his mentor Svetlana Ceca Raznatovic paid him special attention; some members of the jury even compared him to Julio Iglesias and predicted him a shining career. Nadica Ademov, his sister, is often mentioned in the media as one of the richest singers in the Balkans, while the family originates from Skopje and has gone through hard years.

Ilievski also immortalized his triumph with a large forearm tattoo depicting a microphone, the statuette from "Zvezdite na Grand" and his life motto-quote. "The only thing in my life that can never be fake and that no one can take away from me is my love for music," reads the tattoo, and in the caption of the post he adds that the motto is written in English.
