Firefighting continues as DZS director urges caution

The number of wildfires across the country remains high. Authorities reported that more than 30 separate fires were recorded yesterday, four of them on the territory of Strumica.

One blaze approached the village of Kuklish and reached the first row of houses, but local response teams managed to extinguish the fires in that area quickly.

Currently the most serious situation is near Zheden, where the fire is moving toward the village of Radusha over steep and inaccessible terrain, complicating suppression efforts.

Firefighting operations continue

Fire crews and emergency services are working to contain the outbreaks, focusing resources where access is possible and conducting monitoring where the terrain prevents direct intervention.

Stojanche Angelov, director of DZS, urged citizens to exercise caution, saying: "to be careful, because even the smallest spark can cause a great catastrophe."

Authorities repeated their appeal for vigilance as crews battle multiple fires across different parts of the country.
