Brentford 3–0 Chelsea — Xabi Alonso under pressure after heavy defeat
Antony, Igor Tiago and Fabio Carvalho scored as Brentford dominated Chelsea in the fifth-round opener; Chelsea have now conceded 12 league goals.

Brentford completed a comprehensive 3–0 victory over Chelsea at home in the small London derby that opened the fifth round of the Premier League.
Antony, Igor Tiago and Fabio Carvalho were the scorers as Brentford controlled the match physically, limited Chelsea’s attacking outlets and converted three chances into three goals to secure all three points.
Dominant home display
The home side suffocated Chelsea tactically, preventing the visitors from building meaningful attacks. In the 61st minute Mads Damsgaard delivered a corner from the left, Schuster won a header at the far post and nodded the ball back into the penalty area where Antony was on hand to finish and make it 1–0.
Tiago added a second in the 83rd minute and Carvalho wrapped up the win in stoppage time, setting the final score at 3–0.
Chelsea, without injured João Pedro, struggled to create in the final third: Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer were kept quiet, Danny Welbeck received no usable service, and the Blues’ defensive frailties remain a major concern after conceding 12 league goals — officially the worst defence in the division.
