Brera of Strumica seek historic result at Santa Coloma in Andorra

Brera of Strumica travel to Andorra on September 16, 2026 to play Santa Coloma in the first leg of the UEFA Youth League at 6:00 p.m., aiming for a result that would keep them alive ahead of the return tie on October 14, 2026 in North Macedonia.

Training on the match pitch, target: avoid defeat

The Brera squad arrived in Andorra on September 15 and used the field where they will meet the Andorran champion to prepare for the game. The club sees the tie as a realistic chance to secure a historic outcome — above all, “not to lose” — and thus bring the contest back home in a favourable position for the October rematch.

Santa Coloma enter as the domestic champion from a country where football is largely amateur, while Brera come as the most successful youth side in North Macedonia over the past year. Several players in today’s line-up also feature for Brera’s senior team, a factor that prompted the club to postpone its domestic league fixture against Rabotnicki.

Coaches and players said they expect a compact, organised performance and hope this season will finally see a North Macedonian youth side progress past at least the opening round of UEFA competition.

The first leg kicks off at 6:00 p.m. local time in Andorra on September 16, 2026; the return match is scheduled for October 14, 2026 in Strumica, North Macedonia.
