Bruno Fernandes named PFA Player of the Season in England
Bruno Fernandes won the PFA Player of the Season for 2025/26 after a record-breaking campaign with 21 assists and nine goals.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes was named the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Season for England for 2025/26, the association announced on 25 August 2026.
Fernandes enjoyed a standout campaign in the Premier League, finishing the season as the competition's leading creator of chances. He supplied 21 assists across 35 league appearances, surpassing the previous single-season assist mark of 20 held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
The 31-year-old also contributed nine goals, reinforcing his importance to Manchester United's attacking play and his influence from midfield throughout the year.
Recognition from his peers
The PFA award is voted by fellow professional players, making it one of the most prestigious individual honours in English club football. Fernandes's creative numbers and consistency were decisive in securing the accolade for the 2025/26 season.
His assist total set a new Premier League record for a single campaign, a statistical milestone that underlined why teammates and opponents alike singled him out during the season.
Fernandes's prize continues a recent run of high-profile individual awards for players who have combined goal contributions with playmaking influence in England's top division.
