Customs seize more than 3,000 tattoo needles at Blato border crossing
Customs officers at Blato found over 3,000 needles, ink and other tattoo supplies in a cargo vehicle.
Customs officers at the Blato border crossing intercepted an attempt to bring more than 3,000 tattoo needles into the country, the Customs Administration of North Macedonia said.

Inspectors searching a commercial vehicle discovered the shipment at the entry point. Alongside the needles, officials found 60 packages containing a total of 7.2 liters of tattoo ink, 150 pieces of ointment and additional tattooing accessories.
The Customs Administration emphasised that tattoo equipment such as needles is subject to mandatory import permits. Authorities said any illegal trade in this type of goods poses a public health risk.
Customs called on drivers and other participants in passenger and freight traffic to comply with legal regulations and warned that attempts to endanger citizens' safety will be strictly sanctioned.
No further details about the vehicle's driver or any prosecutions were released immediately.
