Chelsea complete signing of Danny Welbeck
35-year-old Danny Welbeck joins Chelsea from Brighton on a deal valid through 2028 and will travel with Xabi Alonso's side for the preseason tour.
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of 35-year-old forward Danny Welbeck, who moves to Stamford Bridge from Brighton on a contract running until 2028.
The veteran England international, who has made 42 appearances for the Three Lions, is expected to join Xabi Alonso's squad for the club's preseason tour.
Experienced option added to Alonso's attack
Welbeck arrives with Premier League experience and international pedigree, adding depth and a goalscoring option to Chelsea's forward line as the club looks to challenge for trophies in the coming seasons.
Reflecting on the move, Welbeck said: "When you hear about interest from Chelsea, it fills you with enormous pride."
He added: "Knowing Chelsea's history, this is a club that wants to win trophies and strives for that every season."
