Reader shares bill from Maleshevski Merak in Aerodrom: two ribs and drinks for 1500 denars

A reader sent photos of a meal and the receipt from a visit to the restaurant Maleshevski Merak, located in the Biser shopping center in Aerodrom, Skopje. The bill shown in the images totals 1500 denars for two oven-roasted ribs and several drinks.

Home-style grill and a modest bill

The message arrived via our official Facebook page together with photographs of the food and the printed receipt. The visitor highlighted that, despite rising prices at many places, there are still eateries where portions and prices feel reasonable and the food is satisfying.

In the reader's own words: "Because we often go out for kebabs in the neighborhood with friends, this time I accidentally found myself in the Aerodrom neighbourhood, and with a friend we ended up in this interesting kafana. The place isn't large, but it radiates a homely atmosphere, and is located right at the entrance to the shopping center, but on the side."

About the dish: "My friend recommended I try the oven-roasted rib, and indeed, it was incredibly good," the reader wrote.

The visitor also commented on the final amount: "In the end I was surprised by the bill, so I would really recommend this place to everyone for a home-style lunch or dinner. Of course, if you don't count calories and aren't vegetarian — so for two ribs, two small bottles of red wine 'Alexandria' and two beers, you'll pay around 1500 denars, as you can see from the bill."
