Chkembari will not organise group attendance at RK Pelister's regional league matches

Supporters of RK Pelister — the Chkembari — announced on social media on 18.08.2026 at 22:22 that they will not be attending their team’s regional league matches in organized groups.

In a public statement the fans explained that the regional competition is not a priority for them and criticized the match schedule, saying it does not show the league is being run with sufficient seriousness.

"We inform the Bitola sports public that the supporters' group Chkembari will not attend the matches of the regional handball league in an organized manner.

This competition is not a priority for the group, and we believe that the way the schedule was made does not give the impression that the league is being treated with the necessary seriousness. In just seven days, three home matches are scheduled, which in our view further devalues the importance of the competition itself.

We believe that under these conditions our club should not treat the regional league as a highest-priority competition.

Nevertheless, we encourage all Pelister supporters who are able to attend the matches and give support to our handball players before the start of the new season.

Reaction and short-term impact

The announcement makes clear that Chkembari view the compressed fixture list — three home games within seven days — as a central reason for their withdrawal from organized attendance. They also signalled that the decision is intended to pressure both the competition organisers and the club to treat the regional league more seriously.

Club officials have not issued a public response yet; the group urged individual supporters who can to continue attending and backing the team ahead of the new season.
