Darko Churlinov scores again for Pogon at Piast
Churlinov’s 57th-minute strike — his third of the season — put Pogon 2-1 ahead; North Macedonia gather on 21 September 2026.
Darko Churlinov once again found the net for Pogon, scoring in an away match against Piast on 20 September 2026. His strike restored Pogon’s advantage after the hosts had levelled the score earlier in the game.
The visitors initially took the lead in the 12th minute, but Piast equalised to make it 1:1. In the 57th minute Churlinov netted his third goal of the season to put Pogon back in front, 1:2.
Impact for the national team
The goal arrives at an important moment for North Macedonia and coach Goce Sedloski. The national team coach is actively searching for players who can deliver goals in the national jersey, after several recent matches in which the side has struggled to score.
North Macedonia have a squad gathering scheduled for the new edition of the UEFA Nations League; the squad meeting takes place tomorrow, on 21 September 2026.
Churlinov’s contribution at club level strengthens his case for selection as the national team prepares for competitive fixtures, and offers a timely reminder that forwards with finishing form are available to Sedloski.
