Deanche Michevski, young accordionist from Bitola, dies
Colleagues and fans shared photos and farewell messages after the sudden death of the young Bitola accordionist.

Deanche Michevski, a young accordionist from Bitola, has died, prompting an outpouring of grief across North Macedonia’s music community.
News of his untimely passing left friends and fellow musicians stunned; social networks filled quickly with farewell messages, shared photographs and memories of moments spent together on stage and off.
Scene and memories
Michevski was a familiar presence at concerts and music gatherings where the accordion holds a special place in local tradition. Through performances and his obvious love of music, he earned recognition from audiences and colleagues who often shared long tours, rehearsals and backstage conversations with him.
Performers say that the work of musicians involves more than the time on stage — it includes long trips, rehearsals, preparations and friendships that grow over years. That is why the loss of a young colleague leaves such a deep void: instead of future shows and new encounters, friends are left sorting memories and saying goodbye.
Those who performed with Michevski remember his playing and the moments that remain in photographs and recordings. Condolences have been sent to his family, and the music community in Bitola and beyond is mourning the absence of a player whose accordion fell silent far too soon.
May he rest in peace.
