Tens of thousands moved through Bogorodica in 24 hours as long queues block traffic in Dojran
Ministry of Internal Affairs: over 17,000 left and about 16,000 entered through Bogorodica in the last day; long vehicle lines blocked traffic at Gevgelija and Dojran.
More than 17,000 people left North Macedonia and roughly 16,000 entered through the Gevgelija border crossing with Greece in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported, as long vehicle queues caused traffic disruption at both nearby crossings.
“At the 'Bogorodica' border crossing, from yesterday until today at noon, 5,864 Macedonian citizens entered the country and 5,948 exited. Regarding foreign nationals in the same period, 10,249 entered our country and 11,648 left our country,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
The increased volume of vehicles waiting to exit created congestion that blocked traffic at both the Gevgelija and Dojran crossings. Authorities described a kilometre-long line of cars in Stari Dojran in recent hours.

At the Dojran border point, official figures show 399 Macedonian citizens entered the country and 1,104 exited during the same 24-hour period. Foreign nationals recorded 1,295 entries and 1,174 departures.
The Ministry said it has deployed all available human and technical resources and is taking every measure to accelerate the flow of passengers while carrying out mandatory border checks.
