Disciplinary Commission: FK Vardar fined €3,000 and one home match without spectators
Disciplinary commission issued fines and suspensions after organisational failures and incidents during recent domestic fixtures.
The Football Federation of Macedonia's Disciplinary Commission met on 10.09.2026 and issued a series of sanctions relating to recent rounds of the Macedonian First League and lower-tier matches.
Key punishment: Vardar fined and one home game behind closed doors
Most notably, FK Vardar — the current league champion — was fined €3,000 and handed a sanction of one home match without spectators for poor organisation and for disturbances that led to the abandonment of the game against Arsimi played at the Petar Miloshevski complex. The decision refers to the same supporter group that publicly protested against the club leadership and reportedly left the stadium in the second half as an act of protest.
FK Bashkimi 1947 also received heavy individual punishments following incidents during its fixture with FK Skopje, also held at FFM facilities. Gabriel Tenelep has been suspended for three matches, while Biljal Iseni and Besjan Aliju each received two-match bans.
Additional measures were imposed across several clubs: Metodi Maksimov (FK Bregalnica 2008) was suspended for one match; Enis Fazlagiç (FK Shkendija Aračinovo) for two matches; and Islami Drilon (FK Shkendija) for one match. Omer Sulejmani (FK Makedonija GP 1932) received a one-match ban.
The coach of FK Shkupi 1927, Ismail Ferdi, was banned from performing his functions for two matches, while Ivan Varadinovski was prohibited from exercising his duties for one month. FK Detonit Plachkovica player Rifadov Asan and FK Vlaznimi Junior player Memedoski Bujamin were each suspended for two matches.
The Disciplinary Commission has also opened proceedings against Durim Hida for improper conduct at the FK Skopje – FK Bashkimi 1947 match, and against FK Bashkimi 1947 representative Ergin Sherifi for verbal altercation and inappropriate behaviour towards match officials. Bashkimi’s club administrator Besim Mustafi was banned from performing functions for one month.
