Diesel down 8 denars, petrol down 4 — new fuel prices from midnight

The Regulatory Commission for Energy (RKE) decided on new maximum retail fuel prices that take effect from midnight tonight, lowering pump costs across the board.

Under the decision, petrol prices fall by four denars per litre while diesel is cut by 8 denars per litre, producing an average retail reduction of 5,81 percent for petroleum products.

Exact retail ceilings and market drivers

The new maximum retail price for Eurosuper BS-95 will be 87 denars per litre, Eurosuper BS-98 will be set at 89 denars, and diesel at 91,5 denars per litre. Extra light heating oil (EL-1) will be reduced by six denars per litre to 92,5 denars. Mazut M-1 NS will be lowered by 2,881 denars per kilogram to 43,538 denars.

RKE explained that reference prices on the world market fell compared with the previous calculation: for petrols by 6,186 percent on average, for diesel by 10,435 percent, for EL-1 by 8,138 percent, and for mazut by 7,151 percent, underpinning the decision to cut domestic retail caps.

Consumers can expect the revised ceilings to be applied at filling stations from midnight, when the new limits become valid for sellers across the country.
