Diesel rises to 99 denars as Assembly extends fuel supply crisis for six months
Diesel up to 99 denars per litre, petrols cheaper; Assembly unanimously prolonged the state of crisis for oil supplies for six months.

From midnight the price of diesel rose by 2 denars and will cost 99 denars per litre, while petrols fell: 95‑octane is now 96 denars and 98‑octane 98 denars per litre after a 2.5‑denar cut.
Today the Assembly unanimously extended the state of crisis for the supply of oil and petroleum products for another six months, approving the measure without debate. The Government said the risks of a disruption to supply remain unresolved.
Prime Minister outlines tax and consumer measures
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said he expects supplies to continue without major shocks into next year and added that required fuel quantities for this year have been secured. He defended domestic prices as "the lowest in Europe" and announced a continuation of the measure that reduced VAT on diesel from 18 to 10 percent. He also signalled the possibility of further relief for drivers.
Mickoski said diesel consumption in border areas has doubled because citizens from neighbouring countries refuel here due to lower prices.
He also announced that the price of electricity will remain unchanged until the end of the year.
