Diesel price raised by 5.5 denars per liter; gasoline prices reduced
RKE increased the maximum retail price of diesel and adjusted other fuel ceilings after changes in world reference prices and the denar exchange rate.
The Regulatory Commission for Energy, Water and Municipal Waste Management Services (RKE) decided that, effective from midnight, diesel will rise by 5.5 denars per liter while gasoline prices will be reduced by 1.5 denars per liter.
New maximum retail prices and shifts in fuel categories
Under the decision, the maximum retail price for EUROSUPER BS-95 will be 99 denars per liter, EUROSUPER BS-98 will be sold at 101 denars, and EURODIESEL BS (D-E V) at 104.5 denars per liter. Extra light heating oil (EL1) will fall by 7 denars per liter to 102.5 denars, and the retail price of Mazut M-1 NS will increase by 1.835 denars per kilogram to 50.078 denars.
RKE explained that, compared with its previous calculation, world market reference prices rose on average for gasoline by 0.960 percent, for diesel by 6.772 percent, for extra light heating oil by 5.960 percent, and for mazut by about 4.084 percent.
In addition to commodity movements, RKE noted that the denar exchange rate against the dollar is roughly 0.753 percent higher than the exchange rate used in the previous price calculation, which influenced the updated retail ceilings.
The changes come into force from 00:00 tonight and will affect pump prices across North Macedonia.
