Powerball jackpot rises to about $975 million after another no‑winner drawing
No grand-prize winner in Monday’s drawing; several players won seven- and six-figure secondary prizes.
The Powerball jackpot climbed to about $975 million after no ticket matched the winning numbers in Monday night’s drawing, making it the eighth-largest prize in the game's history.
The numbers drawn were 6, 37, 54, 55, 64 and the red Powerball 10, with a Power Play multiplier of 3.
Secondary prizes won in several states
Although no one captured the top prize, several players still collected large payouts. One ticket sold in Tennessee matched all five white balls and had the Power Play option, earning a $2 million prize. Two other tickets that matched the five white balls — without the Power Play — each won $1 million; those tickets were sold in California and Maryland.
The jackpot has gone without a winner for more than three months, allowing the prize pool to swell to its current level. The last jackpot to be won was on May 2, when two winners in Florida and Texas split a $20 million prize.
"We've already had five Powerball jackpots won with tickets in seven states (this year) before this current jackpot," said the spokesperson for the Multi-State Lottery Association. "As jackpots continue to roll without a grand-prize winner, player interest grows and contributes to faster jackpot increases."
