Jimmy Roggers brings acoustic show to Bar, Montenegro

Vlado Popovski — known on stage as Jimmy Roggers — will present an intimate acoustic set in Bar, Montenegro on Friday, August 14, 2026. The concert, titled "An Acoustic Singer/Songwriter Evening with Jimmy Roggers", is announced as an open, free-entry event at the Montenegro Tower.

The venue opens its doors at 18:00, and the musical program is scheduled to begin at 20:00. Organizers promise a warm atmosphere, clear sound and an evening focused on live performance and close connection between the musician and the audience.

Popovski arrives with a career that spans more than three decades. He began performing as a 16-year-old street musician across Europe and went on to found his own production company in Austria in 1991, where he has lived and worked since.

His early projects, including the 1994 album "Fancy Cowboys", appearances at Makfest (1993, 2003, 2016) and the acoustic solo album "Soulmade", helped him shape a style that blends blues, rock emotion and smooth-jazz textures. In recent years he has concentrated on a new album in Macedonian.

Several of his Macedonian-language singles have already resonated at home: "Like in a Story" ("Како во приказна"), "Under the Stars" ("Под ѕвездите"), "Like You, Like Me" ("Како ти, како јас"), "Contact" ("Контакт") and the most recent "Only with You" ("Само со тебе"). Those songs have enjoyed strong radio play and reached top positions on domestic charts such as Radio Buba Mara's "Hit of the Week".

For visitors spending the summer along the Adriatic coast, the August 14 concert at Montenegro Tower in Bar is positioned as an easy-to-access, memorable musical evening led by a performer who combines European experience with Macedonian songwriting.
