Financial support for new first-graders: 5,000 denars from Resen Municipality
Resen Municipality published a call: parents and guardians can apply for a one-time 5,000-denar payment for each first-grader; deadline August 12, 2026.
Resen Municipality will provide a one-time cash allowance of 5,000 denars to each child enrolling in first grade ahead of the 2026/2027 school year. The local government says a public call has been published so parents and legal guardians can file applications.
Who can apply and what it covers
The payment is intended to help families with initial expenses such as school supplies, backpacks, clothing and footwear. Parents or legal guardians of pupils registered in first grade at any primary school on the territory of Resen Municipality are eligible to apply.
The deadline to submit applications is August 12, 2026. The measure covers all primary schools in the municipality and will be distributed as a single lump-sum payment of 5,000 denars per registered first-grader.
Resen has five primary schools, and so far more than 100 pupils have been enrolled in first grade for the 2026/2027 school year. That means a substantial number of families in the municipality stand to receive support ahead of the new term.
The municipal authorities describe the initiative as part of broader efforts to support families with children and to improve conditions for education, aiming to reduce the financial burden on households at the start of the school year.
