US President Donald Trump has travelled to Ireland for a weekend stay at his Doonbeg golf resort on the Atlantic coast, where the Irish Open is taking place. The tournament began on Thursday.
During his visit, Trump is scheduled to hold talks with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin on trade and international matters. A brief meeting with Irish President Catherine Connolly is also planned.

Trump said the trip will include meetings with other European leaders and a range of representatives. He is expected to attend parts of the golf tournament and may hand the winner’s trophy to the champion on Sunday.
