DUI files motion for parliamentary inquiry into reconstruction incident

Deputies aligned with Ali Ahmeti's DUI have submitted a motion to form a parliamentary inquiry into an incident that took place during reconstruction works, asking that accountability be established for Ivan Stoilkovic and Afrim Gashi.

Opposition members say Stoilkovic insulted and swore at others and that a physical confrontation nearly erupted during the episode.

DUI's initiative also requests that the relevant authorities secure and hand over recordings from security cameras to help determine responsibility for what happened.

Among the MPs from the Albanian opposition, only SDSM deputy Fatmir Bitici signed the initiative; Mitko Trajcilovski — who, according to the complaint, was attacked alongside Bitici by Stoilkovic — did not sign.

The motion is now on the parliamentary agenda and will be considered under the Assembly's procedures, while the political dispute over the incident continues.
