Two Taiwanese nationals found dead in Skopje apartment
They were reported missing earlier the same day; forensic doctor reported no visible signs of violence and the bodies were sent for autopsy.
Two nationals from Taiwan were found dead this afternoon in an apartment in the wider central area of Skopje, police said.
The incident was first reported to the Skopje Police Department (SVR Skopje) after the two had been reported missing earlier the same day.

"Today (02.09.2026) at about 13:50 the Skopje Police Department was notified that in an apartment in the central area of Skopje, by N.M. were found dead her mother Ch.T.J. (50) and her mother's husband Sh.L.F. (37), both from Taiwan, who had been reported missing on 02.09.2026 at 00:49 by N.M.. A team from the Skopje Police Department was sent to the scene, and a forensic medicine doctor pronounced death with no visible signs of violence and the bodies were given for autopsy", the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) said.
Authorities said investigative steps are being taken to clarify the circumstances of the deaths. No further details about cause of death have been released pending the autopsy.
Notably, an earlier headline to the report named Thailand as the country of origin; the ministry's statement specifies Taiwan.
