Two men arrested in Gostivar after separate domestic violence reports
Police detained two men from Gostivar and the surrounding area after separate complaints of assault and threats.
Two men from Gostivar and the surrounding Gostivar area have been detained after separate reports of domestic violence, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
In the first incident police arrested 33-year-old S.S. following a complaint by his 48-year-old wife. She reported that, around 2 a.m., after a brief argument he forced his way into the apartment, damaged the balcony door and physically assaulted her, causing an injury.
Police say both cases are being documented
In the second incident officers detained 55-year-old A.S. His 40-year-old extramarital partner reported that, after a short argument, he attacked her with a sharp object and also made threats against her.
Both men remain held at a police station. The ministry said that after the cases are fully documented the appropriate legal charges will be submitted against them.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs provided the information to the public; investigations into the incidents are continuing.
