One dead, seven injured after Audi crashes into bus near Mladenovac

One person was killed and seven others were injured in a serious traffic accident that occurred during the night near Mladenovac in Serbia.
The crash happened when an Audi crossed into the opposite lane for reasons that remain unknown and collided directly with a bus, according to initial reports.
Because of the force of the impact, the Audi was thrown off the roadway and struck a concrete barrier beside the carriageway.
The 42-year-old driver of the Audi died at the scene; emergency medics and rescue teams were only able to confirm his death after extracting him from the vehicle.
Casualties and emergency response
The bus driver and seven young people who sustained injuries were rushed to the Emergency Department for treatment. Local services responded to the scene and the injured were transported to hospital.
Investigators and traffic services are working at the site to determine the exact sequence of events and the cause of the collision.
