One‑time cash support for first graders in rural Pelagonia municipalities
First graders will receive between 7,000 and 10,000 denars depending on municipality; Novaci approved the highest voucher.

First graders in rural municipalities across the Pelagonia region will receive a one‑time cash allowance ranging from 7,000 to 10,000 denars, with the exact sum set by each local authority.
Novaci municipality's council approved a decision to grant a 10,000‑denar voucher to pupils entering first grade, while students from second through ninth grade there will receive 6,000 denars.
The measure is intended to ease the financial burden on families at the start of the school year, municipal officials said, and follows similar small-scale aid steps in other localities that set differing amounts based on budget capacity.
Mayor Stevche Stevanovski explained the rationale behind Novaci's amounts: "With this measure we want to help parents more easily secure the necessary funds for the start of the school year and to show that care for children, education and support for families remain our priority," he said.
Local councils determine the exact figures, so families in neighbouring Pelagonia municipalities should expect variations in the level of support. Municipal leaders said the payments will be issued before classes begin.
