EHF European Cup: GRK Ohrid and Alkaloid seeded for draw on 27 October 2026
Both Macedonian clubs are in the first pot among 16 teams and will be drawn against second-pot opponents in Vienna on 27 October 2026.
GRK Ohrid and Alkaloid will enter tomorrow's EHF European Cup draw as seeded teams, placed in the first pot among 16 clubs. That status means both Macedonian sides will be drawn against opponents from the second pot and cannot face each other in this stage.
Possible opponents and schedule
Among the possible rivals for Ohrid and Alkaloid are clubs with continental experience: Greek AEK, Montenegrin Lovćen, Slovenian Gorenje Velenje, Romanian Potaissa Turda and Serbian Dubočica. The second pot also includes Croatian Gorica, Danish H71 and Swiss Winterthur.
The draw will be held in Vienna on 27 October 2026, starting at 11:00. The first legs of the third round are scheduled for 21 and 22 November, with the return matches on 28 and 29 November.
Being in the top seeded pot gives Ohrid and Alkaloid a theoretically easier path to the knockout ties, since they will avoid meeting other first-pot teams in the third-round pairings. Both clubs will now await the draw to discover their specific opponents and match locations.
